National Park Live Webcams
Welcome to the National Park Live Webcams. We hope you enjoy the National Park webcams as much as we do. The National Park Service provides a wage range of webcams throughout the United States Park System. These live webcams allow you to get up close to wildlife without disturbing them. These webcams are also a great way to experience the beauty of the National Parks from the comfort of your home.
There are 63 national parks, 35 containing webcams. A few of the parks have live streams that we were embed within the website. The links to the sites are provided on the individual web page. Also, due to inclement weather a few of the NPS webcams do not refresh.
The NPS provides a free downloadable app that allows you to explore more than 400 national parks across the country. The app features interactive maps, tours of park places, accessibility information, and more. You can also download content from entire parks for offline use, share virtual postcards with your friends, and find out the latest news, alerts, and events for the parks you’re interested in. The link is at the bottom of the page.
We are also added information on our favorite hikes, restaurants, stores and campgrounds within the different parks. Below are helpful external links to various sites for making reservations and planning for your stay.
It is worth noting that 12 United States National Parks are UNESCO World Hertige Sites. They are Carlsbad Caverns National Park, Everglades National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Mammoth Cave National Park, Mesa Verde National Park, Olympic National Park, Redwood National and State Parks, parts of Wrangell-St. Elias, Yellowstone National Park, and Yosemite National Park
In addition, Isle Royale National Park and Rocky Mountain National Park are UNESCO International Biosphere Reserve due to it's diverse plant and animal life.
Some of the National Parks have only one or two webcams, while others are just amazing. These are the ones that we consider the must see: Channel Island, Crater Lake, Glacier Bay, Glacier, Grand Canyon, Hawaii Volcanos, Isle Royale, Lassen, Mount Rainer, Olympic, Rocky Mountain, Yellowstone and Yosemite.
Even though these National Parks have limited webcams, they have incredible views: Acadia, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Grand Tetons, Wrangell-St. Elias, and Zion.

Short History of the National Park
The National Park System is a collection of more than 400 areas that are managed by the National Park Service (NPS), a federal bureau in the Department of the Interior. The NPS was created by President Woodrow Wilson on August 25, 1916, when he signed the "Organic Act" into law. The National Park System has since expanded to include 428 individual units covering more than 85 million acres in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and US territories. These units are often referred to as "parks" and are managed by the NPS to conserve the nation's natural and cultural heritage for the benefit of current and future generations.
The National Park System is divided into 20 separate categories, including national parks, national preserves, national monuments, national recreation areas, national seashores, national scenic trails, and national historic sites, among others. The parks are managed together as an administrative unit within the National Park Service¹. The majority of the related areas are not units of the National Park Service and are managed by other government agencies or non-government organizations and landowners.
